Brittney Lee Saunders to hit the AH&M Stage

Tuesday 1 September 2015

We all know Brittney as the open, honest, often foul mouthed, quirky vlogger from that little website called YouTube.

You see, YouTube has taken over the world, or better yet cyber space - do we even call it that anymore? Each day millions of people hit YouTube and the beauty blogger scene has skyrocketed.

To be a successful YouTuber you need two things; 1. A decent personality and 2. Something worth sharing.

I believe Miss Saunders has both - Her channel is all things beauty, life and a whole lot of random crap that over 500,000 people have subscribed to. I say crap loosely, because lets face it there is a bunch of stuff Britt posts to her YouTube that shouldn't entertain us, but does.

But why do over 500K people love Brittney so much? In my opinion it's simple. Britt is relatable and her videos seem like what the greater population of women are exactly like. We often pretend to be more sophisticated, non judgemental and proper but in all honesty Brittney IS the epitome of an Australian woman. She's real, she's a larakin, she's honest, acts inappropriately and she sure as hell knows how to laugh at herself.

Britney Lee Saunders is just your average Australian woman who decided to pick up a camera and blog via video about her life. Have you ever wondered why video blogging has become such a phenomenon? Is it because social media makes the world go round? Is it because (somewhat like music & lyrics) watching people interact with us via YouTube helps us to not feel so alone? Either way, it has well and truly taken over the world.

The internet is an outlet to voice your opinion and exercise your freedom of speech and with that (as most things) brings backlash. Brittney Saunders isn't one to stand by and put up with people calling her names, she creates videos and calls them out on it. She's also incredibly witty and sarcastic.

Brittney likes to 'paint her face' with affordable products, talk crap and sing her heart out. She is stunning, strong & smart yet incredibly down to earth - and I rate that.

See Brittney on the Main Stage on Saturday 26th September at 2.30pm at the first ever Adelaide Hair & Makeup Show - I can't guarantee you'll experience the foul language but you can definitely expect her Q&A to be insightful & hilarious!
